I started fencing in college for the University of Maryland Fencing Club. As an individual fencer, I earned my E in 2012 and renewed it in 2013, before earning my D at the end of 2013. In 2012, I took the USFA referee exam and received a rating of 9 in all three weapons, then earned my 8 in sabre in 2013.

After having fenced very briefly in elementary school, I picked it up again at the beginning of my freshman year of college (2010) at the University of Maryland Fencing Club. I was a starter on the sabre squad beginning in my sophomore year, and was elected president for the 2012-2013 season in my junior year. I was captain of the sabre squad from 2012 to 2014, and I was Capitol Division representative and Cherry Blossom Open commissioner in 2013-2014.

With the team, I competed in the Baltimore-Washington Collegiate Fencing Conference (BWCFC) and the Mid-Atlantic College Fencing Association (MACFA), as well as the Chaos Invitational, which we host, the Temple Open, and the United States Association of Collegiate Fencing Clubs (USACFC) national championships.

I won silver in the 2012 Chaos Invitational and gold in the 2013 and 2014 BWCFC Championships, and I qualified for the 2014 MACFA Individual Championships.
